Quick Start Guide to Request Indexing
To ensure Google quickly indexes your fixed structured data and new pages, follow this simple guide to request indexing through Google Search Console.
Note: You can only submit up to 10 URLs per day for expedited indexing. Prioritize your most important pages.
Log into Google Search Console
Go to Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.
Make sure you've verified ownership of your website through one of these methods:
- HTML file upload
- HTML meta tag (already set up in google-site-verification.html)
- DNS verification
- Google Analytics linking
Open URL Inspection Tool
In Google Search Console, locate the URL inspection tool at the top of the page.
This is where you'll enter individual URLs to request indexing.
Enter Priority URLs
Enter these high-priority URLs one by one to request indexing:
Priority | URL | Purpose |
---|---|---|
1 | https://credotransportation.com/cars.html | Fixed car listings with improved structured data |
2 | https://credotransportation.com/ | Homepage with business information |
3 | https://credotransportation.com/sitemap.xml | Main sitemap for crawling all pages |
4 | https://credotransportation.com/seo-sitemap.xml | SEO-specific resources sitemap |
5 | https://credotransportation.com/tracking.html | Vehicle tracking functionality |
Inspect URL and Request Indexing
After entering each URL:
- Click "Inspect" to check the current status
- Google will show if the URL is on Google and its current status
- Click "Request Indexing" to ask Google to crawl and index the page
If Google reports "URL is on Google" but shows outdated information, you can still request indexing to get Google to see your updated content.
Success message: "Indexing requested" means Google has queued your page for crawling and indexing.
Prioritize Additional Pages
After submitting the priority pages, submit these pages in order of importance:

Monitoring Indexing Progress
Check Coverage Report
In Google Search Console, go to "Coverage" under "Index" in the left sidebar.
This report shows how many URLs from your site are indexed, excluded, or have errors.
Review Structured Data Report
Go to "Enhancements" in the left sidebar.
This section will show reports for different structured data types on your site, including:
- Products (for your vehicle listings)
- FAQs
- Local Business information
- Image objects
Check these reports to ensure your improved structured data is being recognized correctly.
Use Rich Results Test
For immediate testing of your structured data, use the Rich Results Test tool.
This tool allows you to preview how your structured data will appear in Google search results without waiting for Google to crawl your site.
Important: It can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for all your indexing issues to be resolved in Google Search Console, even after Google re-crawls your pages. Be patient and continue monitoring.
Sitemap Submission
While individual URL submission is important, also make sure to submit your sitemaps to ensure Google can discover all pages on your site.
Go to Sitemaps in Search Console
In the left sidebar, click on "Sitemaps" under "Index".
Submit Your Sitemaps
Enter these sitemap URLs one by one and click "Submit":
- sitemap.xml
- sitemapindex.xml
- seo-sitemap.xml
Check Sitemap Status
Monitor the status of your submitted sitemaps. Google will report:
- How many URLs were discovered in the sitemap
- How many of those URLs are indexed
- Any warnings or errors with the sitemap
